The following refund options are available from Alaska Tax Lady.

Direct Deposit: Your refund will be directly deposited by the taxing authority into your bank account or prepaid card usually within 21 days* after the IRS or state has accepted your return. Tax preparation and filing fees are paid in our office and due at the end of your tax preparation.

Netspend® Prepaid Visa®***: Your refund(s) will be loaded on a Netspend® Prepaid Visa® usually within 21 days after your return is accepted. Additional fees may apply.

Paper Check: Refund check(s) mailed by taxing authority. Your refund check(s) should arrive in approximately 6 weeks after your return has been accepted by the IRS or state. Tax preparation and filing fees are paid in our office and due at the end of your tax preparation.

Refund Transfer (RT)**: By choosing a Refund Transfer, you get the convenience of an IRS Direct Deposit without upfront fees. Once the IRS or state sends your refund (usually within 21 days) your fees can be deducted from the refund proceeds. The balance of your refund will be disbursed as a check and printed in our tax office, direct deposited into your personal bank account or loaded on a Netspend® Prepaid Visa®. Easy Advance Loan****: An Easy Advance (EA) is an optional loan secured by your tax refund and offered by Republic Bank & Trust Company, Member FDIC, to eligible taxpayers. Loan amount options are based on your expected Federal refund less authorized fees. If approved for an Easy Advance, a Finance Charge will apply. Loan is subject to underwriting and approval. EA proceeds are typically available within 24-48 hours of IRS acceptance of tax return or within 24-48 hours for those filing before the IRS start date; however, if direct deposit is selected it may take additional time for your financial institution to post the funds to your account. *Due to the PATH Act, the IRS will not begin issuing refunds for Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) related tax returns until February 15th.
